Job Summary

The Internal Audit Lead/Specialist work involves managing or conducting performance, financial, and compliance audit projects; providing consulting services to organizational management and staff; providing training, coaching and supervision to Internal Audit staff. He/she works under the guidance and supervision of the Internal Audit Manager and Chief Audit Executive

Duties and Responsibilities

Other essential duties include, but are not limited to:

-          Manage multiple audit client engagements as well as assume responsibility for client relationships.

-          Supervise the auditors on staff, assist in the planning, testing and executing of internal audit activities, and examine and monitor the company’s system of risk management and internal controls.

-          Discusses with the senior internal auditors and internal auditors the additional information needed during planning, execution, and reporting

-          Review engagement files, and provide on-the-job training and directions to engagement staff to ensure quality standards are achieved

-          Track the progress of audits by helping auditors in compiling, drafting, and completing the working papers

-          Reviews and edits engagement reports and identifies the need for improvements or corrections relating to the said reports.

-          Oversee assignment of other tasks to his team members.

-          Participates and conducts hiring and performance evaluation of the team

-          Leads or conducts special engagement when needed

Work closely with Audit Manager and CAE in mentoring opportunities

Technical Competencies and Skills

- Three to six years full-time experience in audit, risk, compliance, finance, business process improvement, or project management in a supervisory role. - Considerable knowledge of the Global Internal Audit Standards (GIAS), The International Professional Practice Framework (IPPF), and the principles and standards in Ethics & Professionalism domain developed by the Institute of Internal Auditors - Considerable skill in effective verbal and written communications, including active listening and presentation skills. - Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with co-workers, staff

Education, Trainings and Licenses Required

- A bachelor’s degree holder from a respectable university or college. - Certifications holder is preferred
