About the job Training & Development Officer

In accordance with the policies, procedures, and standards of Crimson Resort & Spa Boracay, and reporting to the Assistant Training Manager, the Training Officer plays a pivotal role in elevating employee skills and performance across the resort. The role is responsible for developing and implementing training programs that support a high-performance culture and ensure service standards consistently meet the resort's expectations.

The Training Officer assesses training needs, designs and facilitates learning programs, and collaborates with management to drive professional growth while aligning all initiatives with the resort's commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Scope and Responsibilities:

Annual Training Plan and Monthly Learning Calendar

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive annual training calendar.
  • Schedule compliance, operational, leadership, and professional development programs.
  • Coordinate with departments to maximize attendance while minimizing operational disruptions.
  • Monitor training schedules and ensure timely implementation.

Facilitation and Training Delivery

  • Conduct engaging training programs on:

  • Support smooth integration of new employees into their assigned departments.

Coordination of Training Logistics

  • Schedule training sessions and workshops.
  • Arrange venues, training materials, and learning resources.
  • Coordinate participant attendance and training requirements.
  • Ensure minimal disruption to daily operations.

Collaboration and Coordination

  • Partner closely with:
  • Human Resources

  • Resort Leadership Team
  • External Trainers and Training Providers
  • Align learning initiatives with departmental goals and organizational objectives.
  • Coordinate specialized programs when required.

Evaluation and Continuous Improvement

Budget and Resource Management

  • Assist in developing and managing the training budget in coordination with HR.
  • Ensure learning programs are delivered within approved budget allocations.
  • Source cost-effective learning materials and resources while maintaining quality standards.
  • Monitor training-related expenses.

Employee Development and Engagement

  • Support the development of talent and succession planning initiatives.
  • Encourage professional growth through individual development plans.
  • Recognize employee achievements and learning milestones.
  • Promote employee engagement through development activities and learning opportunities.

Industry Trends and Best Practices

  • Research current trends and innovations in training and development.
  • Benchmark learning programs against hospitality industry best practices.
  • Recommend new learning methods, technologies, and approaches to improve training effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Ad, Hospitality Management, Tourism, or related course
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as Training, Learning & Development Officer, or Training Officer
  • Experience in a 4-star hotel environment is highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of hospitality operations and service excellence standards.
