Job Summary: The Sr./Parking Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of parking operations within an organization. This includes developing and implementing parking policies and procedures, managing parking facilities, supervising staff, and ensuring the efficient operation of parking services. He/She is also responsible for maximizing revenue and optimizing usage of parking resources while providing excellent customer service to patrons.
Key Functions:
Business Development
- Develop and implement parking policies and procedures to ensure the efficient and effective operation of parking facilities.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in parking management to continuously improve operations and services
Financial and Cash Flow Management
- Oversee the collection and management of parking fees, including the implementation of payment systems and the reconciliation of revenue.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on parking operations, including financial performance, usage statistics, and customer feedback.
Parking Operations
- Manage parking facilities, including parking lots, garages, and other parking structures, to ensure they are well-maintained, safe, and secure.
- Monitor parking operations to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to optimize parking resources and increase revenue.
- Ensure compliance with parking regulations and laws, including the enforcement of parking rules and regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as facilities management and transportation, to coordinate parking services with other organizational functions.
Leadership & People Management
- Supervise parking staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating employees to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Provide leadership and direction to the parking operations team, fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork and collaboration.
Educational Requirement
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, Hospitality Management, Transportation Management, or any related field
- Master's degree or professional certifications are an advantage but not required
Work Experience Required
- At least 5–8 years of relevant experience in:
- Parking operations
- Property management
- Mall, office, mixed-use, or commercial facility operations
- Transportation or traffic management
- Minimum 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role
- Experience handling:
- Parking revenue management
- Vendor and manpower supervision
- Customer service and complaint handling
- Parking systems/equipment operations
- Safety and security coordination
