The Finance Admin Assistant (Legal Tax) is responsible for providing support to the Tax Department and/or the Finance Department in general.
KEY FUNCTIONS/DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Tax and Accounting Filings
- Assist in the preparation of various tax and tax legal documents.
- Perform all classes of administrative and secretarial work.
- Finalizing and formatting replies and other filings with the BIR.
- Filing of necessary replies, returns, supporting documents and other papers with the BIR.
Document Management
- Organize the filing and classification of documents and records of the Tax Department according to the defined standards; and
- Maintain active inventory of case records and documents of the Tax Department.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the Tax Head/Tax and Finance Senior Managers.
MONETARY, PROPERTY AND COMPANY ASSETS RESPONSIBILITY:
- Full responsibility over supplies/tools assigned to me (laptop, PSE keys, etc.)
- Shared responsibility over documents handed over to legal. Full responsibility once handed to me personally.
- Full responsibility over money/checks personally handed to me (amount reaches up to more than a million.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
- With working knowledge pertaining to basic office skills such as records keeping and retrieval
- Preferably with experience in handling various corporate documents and applications filed with the BIR
- Basic research skills
- Able to communicate effectively (both oral and written) and foster good relationships with key stakeholders (both internal and external)
- Willing to learn and is highly organized.
- Keen eye for detail, flexibility and qualities of a team player
- With time management skills and ability to organize multiple tasks and work under pressure
- Able to write/draft reports, memos and other related documents
- Able to sort, index, categorize, order, manipulate and organize information/data/documents
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft (MS) software (i.e. Windows, Word, Excel and Outlook) and databases to manage voluminous data.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor of Science Graduate or Bachelor of Laws Graduate or any Business or relevant course
- Preferably with at least one to two years of experience with a law firm/legal industry/legal department or other relevant experience
