About the job Fuel Management Manager
JOB SUMMARY: Primarily responsible for managing the fuel requirement of the Coal Fired Power Plant.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Handles preparation of the annual fuel procurement plan and delivery schedules.
- Ensures proper forecast and timely supply of fuel, without overstocking to avoid demurrage.
- Negotiates with suppliers on fuel supply/pricing.
- Monitors brokers' performance and compliance with government agencies' requirements for consistent supply of fuel.
- Ensures submission of necessary documents to identified government agencies.
- Provides proper coordination with end users and suppliers.
- Conducts studies and monitors fuel prices prevailing in the local and international markets and recommends to top management to keep the prices current and responsive to changing market conditions that affect its sources and costs.
- Conducts review, evaluation, and processing of payment of all fuel-related claims, including demurrage/dispatch claims.
- Prepares annual budget proposals for fuel.
- Endorses Letters of Credit (LC) or Telegraphic Transfers (T/T) payment of fuel, including required documents for importation and coordination with officers, banks, forwarders, brokers, and government agencies.
- Monitors quality and deliveries of fuel.
- Initiates resolution on issues related to fuel management.
- Complies with professional ethical standards while in the process of clearing cargoes.
- Perform other functions as may be assigned.
Education and Work Experience:
- Graduate of any Bachelor's Degree
- With a minimum pf 5 years work experience in the same industry
- Willing to work in Misamis Oriental Plant location
