About the job IT Project Manager
Job Summary:
An IT Project Manager (preferrably for Accounting Systems) leads the team/s engaged in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of a specific business application and/or IT service or project. Duties involve project planning, resource allocation, and project implementation that is in accordance with Filinvest Software Development Life Cycle standard.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Leadership
- Prepares solution proposals and leads major KRA initiatives.
- Recommends IT-related solutions and services or changes in these to address customer requirements, maintaining a balance between user needs, software and service design, IT infrastructure and facilities configuration and industry best practices and processes.
- Effectively manages service expectations of stakeholders
- Enables the team to meet delivery and service commitments and schedules according to plans.
- Coordinates with vendors for them to deliver the solutions and required services for efficient implementation.
- Leads an individual or team in ensuring they meet and exceed SLAs (Service Level Agreements)
- Adheres to group standards and drives compliance across the group
- Ensures that documentation for IT applications and services are available
- Ensures all service requests are allocated to individual team members based on skills, and availability of resources in order to meet SLAs or commitments
- Escalates Very High (VH) failures and severe performance issues, and leads the resolution of critical issues.
- Defines & supports people development plans
- Provides coaching to individuals & teams
- Provides performance feedback
IT Project Management & Implementation
- Works with management, application development staff, IT clients and vendors (if applicable) in understanding application requirements, determining the scope, and delivering high quality application systems and IT-related services.
- Leads one or more projects within the delegated team(s), managing resourcing, timelines, budgets and
quality of deliverables. - Ensures availability of the team resources to support projects and monitor work progress towards targets
- Direct clear and efficient problem identification, analysis and solutions formulation or work-around.
Application Development & Maintenance
- Leads software development team developing, maintaining and providing 3rd level production support for
- In-House applications and IT project implementations; and escalate issues to Management
- Ensures the delivered software satisfies the functional and non-functional requirements as agreed with customer and in compliance with group-wide IT standards
- Administers all implementation issues and generate short-term resolution, as well as long term preventive measures for development
- Deliver quality software ensuring minimal defects and the conduct of agreed Quality Assurance processes to continuously improve deliverables
- Directs clear and efficient problem identification, analysis and solutions formulation or work-around.
