About the job Compliance & Risk Associate
The Compliance and Risk Associate is responsible in carrying out effective full audit of assigned projects (walkthrough, risk assessment, execution of procedures and summary of audit results) under the supervision of Compliance and Risk Lead.
DESCRIPTION OF FUNCTION:
1. CONDUCT OF REGULAR/ SPECIAL AUDIT, CASH COUNTS & FOLLOW-UPS
Audit Program- 1st -2nd week of audit
o Close coordination with C&R Lead regarding the assignment of tasks, schedule of kick-off meeting and interviews
o Conduct and document walkthrough interviews with process owners of assigned auditable areas
o Draft risk assessments and list of audit procedures. Submit to C&R Lead for review and finalization
Audit Testing- 3rd- 6th week of audit
o Perform assigned audit procedures on/off-site
o Proper and timely coordination with process-owners of audit samples and requirements
o Conduct testing and document the following in audit working papers:
Data and samples tested
Analysis and results of testing
Root cause, criteria/ policy reference
Risks and recommendations
Internal Control Checklist
o Submit completed working papers with supporting documents for C&R-Lead review every completion of assigned areas.
Surprise cash counts, Follow-up and Special audits
o Close coordination with C&R Lead regarding the schedule, procedures and assignment of tasks
o Perform assigned tasks on cash counts and submit results to C&R Lead for review within the day
o Perform assigned tasks on follow-up audits and submit working papers to C&R Lead within 2 weeks
2. PREPARATION AND REVIEW OF AUDIT RESULTS
Elevate immediately the concerns affecting the performance of the audit to C&R Lead and C&R Head, when necessary
Respond to concerns, questions and comments from the C&R Lead and C&R Head during the review of audit working papers
3. OTHER TASKS
Update and submit Quarterly OKR check-ins
Maintain a complete filing of audit working papers and supports
Work with the C&R Lead in updating the audit status report for presentation to the C&R Head
Perform other duties that may be required from time to time
