Lead Electrical Engineer

A. Project Development

• Conduct feasibility study, conceptual design for plant electrical systems
• Create Bid Documents like Instruction to Bidders (ITB), Terms of Reference (TOR), Minimum Functional Specifications (MFS), Basis of Design (BOD).
• Review and provide comments on the submitted Contractor technical proposal such electrical lay out, electrical specifications, protection and control philosophy.
• From Technical reviews provide recommendations on appointment of contractors

B. Project Management

• Review and provide comment on submitted electrical diagrams, drawings and plans, vendor submissions and material samples to endure full compliance with contract specifications and code compliance.
• Random inspection (surveillance) and functional tests of installed electrical equipment as needed.
• Participate in the Factory Acceptance and Commissioning tests of electrical equipment.
• Witness in the plant performance and availability tests with focus on electrical system reviewing reports and providing comments back

C. Plant Operations and Maintenance

• Conduct study and evaluation of Plant Performance and recommend improvement.
• Conduct in review and study of Plant Equipment Failures and recommends solutions for reliability improvement.
• Conduct study on reconfiguration or redesign of plant electrical systems and equipment in accordance with electrical best practices.

D. Others

1. Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Management.
2. Whilst the position is Head Office Manila based, the role requires weekly travel to sites in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, wherever the Management deemed that the technical services are needed.

Job Specifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, must be a licensed electrical engineer.
• Ideally Professional Engineer (PE) Level or working towards obtaining this ranking.
• At least 10 years experience in the energy industry; 5 years in thermal power plants (at least 100MW), 3+ years in Solar and 2+ years in Hydro or other related power fields with a background coming from working for a developer in power sector and/or design consultant as a senior engineer. Experience working in power plants as Engineer in supervision in project management, planning, engineering, design, operations and maintenance are also key needed experience.
