They typically plan, script, record, and edit video content to effectively convey information in a step-by-step manner. Video tutorial creators often leverage various multimedia elements such as graphics, animations, and demonstrations to enhance the learning experience for their audience. These tutorials can cover a wide range of topics, from software tutorials and DIY projects to academic subjects and professional development skills.

KEY FUNCTIONS/DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conceptualize, plan, and script video tutorials aimed at teaching specific skills or concepts.
  • Create engaging and informative video content through recording, editing, and post-production processes.
  • Research topics thoroughly to ensure accuracy and relevance of tutorial content.
  • Can utilize multimedia elements such as graphics, animations, screen recordings and demonstrations to enhance clarity and comprehension.
  • Maintain consistency in style, tone, and branding across all tutorial videos.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and other team members to develop effective tutorial content.
  • Optimize video content for various platforms and formats, ensuring compatibility and accessibility.
  • Monitor and analyze audience feedback and engagement metrics to continuously improve tutorial quality and effectiveness.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in video production and instructional design.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Has experience in creative design/video editing.
  • Proficiency in graphic video software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and multimedia tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Communications, Multimedia, or any related courses.
