Filinvest Development Corporation (FDC) is seeking for an aspiring senior staff candidate who is eager to step into a supervisory role in finance and security operations. Overall, chosen candidate in this role in the safety department combines financial expertise with a deep understanding of safety principles to ensure that financial resources are allocated efficiently and effectively to support a safe and secure work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Analysis:
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop, maintain, and improve financial models to forecast future financial performance.
- Conduct profitability analysis for various business units and product lines.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Monitor actual performance against budget and forecast, providing explanations for variances.
- Collaborate with department heads to gather input for budget and forecast processes.
- Analyzes the departments costs associated with safety and security operations, including personnel and equipment.
- Monitor expenses, identify, and analyze safety and security measurements and improvements.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising safety and security standards.
Reporting:
- Prepare and present financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Generate management reports to provide insights into financial performance.
- Create ad-hoc reports and analyses as requested by senior management.
Strategic Planning:
- Support strategic planning initiatives by providing financial analysis and projections.
- Evaluate the financial impact of potential business decisions and investments.
- Conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking to inform strategic decisions.
Risk Management:
- Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Monitor market trends and economic conditions that may impact the companys financial performance.
Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary financial information and documentation.
- Has an interest in security tasks, including the computation and analysis of physical security costs such as perimeter walls, access control (doors, biometrics), CCTV systems/plans, floor plans, security guard expenses, and cost per square meter and facilitating billing processes with security agencies.
- Identify and analyze financial data to identify efficient material/equipment to safety and security expenditures. Also utilize data analysis tools to identify potential areas of risk or inefficiency.
- Implement recommendations from audit findings to enhance financial controls and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Internal Auditing or a related field.
- Experience in data analytics or auditing is an advantage.
- Understanding of security tasks, including the computation and analysis of physical security costs are advantages.
- Preferably lives nearby South Metro Manila.
- Amenable to conduct on-site visits if assigned.
- Ability to identify opportunities for cost optimization and process improvement.
- With at least 2 years of proven experience as a Financial Analyst or similar role.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, financial modeling, and forecasting techniques.
- Proficiency with financial software and tools such as Microsoft Office tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Strong communication and presentation skills
