About the job Lead Network Distribution and Hydraulic Engineer
Job Summary
Responsible for the planning and implementation of network distribution programs and projects for the optimum distribution of water supply to the system. He/she is also responsible for the operational efficiency, non-revenue water management, asset management, operations performance review and initiation of interventions in all aspects of water supply operations aligned with strategic plans and achievement of corporate goals. He/she will also direct appropriate knowledge development and transfer in his/her scope of responsibilities.Duties and Responsibilities
ASSET
MONITORING, PLANNING AND MAINTENANCE MANAGEMENT

Evaluates hydraulic models and
recommends technical solutions to improve reliability and operational
efficiency
·
Develops, maintains and updates
the information systems (ex. GIS), modelling tools and the hydraulic models and
simulations for the effective management of water production and transmission
·
Development and maintenance of database
management system and operational dashboard to monitor, analyse and plan the
daily operations of technical operations team.
OPERATIONAL
EFFICIENCIES
·
Develops, implements and evaluates
strategic plans to ensure sufficient water pressure, minimized non-revenue
water and water quality compliance of the water supply system
·
Develops the operating rules on
the production, transmission and distribution systems that best meet the needs
of the customer at minimum cost of operations by the water supply facilities
·
Formulates and standardizes
programs and procedures for the implementation of innovative strategies and
programs to improve operational efficiency
NON-REVENUE
WATER MANAGEMENT
·
Conducts regular NRW audits of operations grid
to assess network distribution efficiencies and resources requirement.
·
Develops, implements and monitors active
leakage control and commercial losses programs to support operations grid in
the non-revenue water reduction programs.
Technical Competencies and Skills
• Must have at least two (2) years knowledge and experience in water and waste water hydraulic modelling using Watergems. • Must have at least two (2) years’ experience in using ArcGIS and Autocad • Must have knowledge in using leak detection equipment and have a minimum of at least two (2) years’ conducting NRW Management • Excellent skills in using MS Office ApplicationEducation, Trainings and Licenses Required
• Must have a Bachelor’s/College Degree in Engineering (preferably Civil) and passed the corresponding board/certification exam • Must have, at a minimum
