Job Summary
IT QA SpecialistDuties and Responsibilities
Test Strategy and Planning
Define the overall test strategy, scope, and approach for each project or release.
Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test data aligned with business and technical requirements.
Establish clear entry and exit criteria for each test phase (unit, system, integration, UAT).
Identify appropriate testing tools and frameworks to support automation and efficiency.
Test Execution and Quality Assurance
Lead end-to-end testing activities, including manual and automated test execution.
Ensure defects are accurately logged, prioritized, and resolved within agreed timelines.
Review test results, assess risks, and make go/no-go recommendations for release readiness.
Validate that delivered functionality meets both business objectives and user expectations.
Test Automation and Continuous Improvement
Define and implement test automation strategies to improve test coverage and efficiency.
Evaluate new tools and technologies for improving testing capability (e.g., Selenium, Postman, JMeter, Azure DevOps).
Track and report key testing metrics (e.g., defect density, test coverage, execution progress).
Drive a shift-left approach by embedding testing early in design and development stages.
Governance and Compliance
Ensure adherence to QA standards, templates, and methodologies aligned with enterprise delivery frameworks (e.g., CMMI, Agile).
Maintain documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
Participate in project review boards and release readiness assessments.
Collaborate with developers, product owners, and project managers to ensure early involvement of testing in the SDLC.
Coordinate with business users during UAT and support smooth test-to-production transitions.
Promote best practices in testing, defect prevention, and continuous improvement.
Acts as 1st level escalation and address any resistance, conflicting priorities through structured dialogue and escalation paths
Achieve high CSAT and delivery metrics
Able to contribute to team/company initiatives/events
Technical Competencies and Skills
