Job Summary
The logistics officer will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of shipments, coordinating schedules, and maintaining accurate records by supporting the Logistical coordinator.Duties and Responsibilities
- Schedule Preparation: To prepare a master shipment schedule and identify all upcoming shipments so all documentation is ready.
- To present to the FDC Customs committee what the best option is based on time, demurrage, arrastre and wharfage, storage fee analysis. In charge of processing CAI and FTA.
- Communication with Committees: Inform relevant committees about proposed shipment plans, providing clear and concise updates to facilitate decision-making. Inform finance departments regarding upcoming disbursements.
- Tax Monitoring: Maintain a running tally of taxes saved through applicable exemptions and agreements, ensuring accurate reporting and maximizing cost efficiency.
- Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any issues or delays that arise in the logistics process, working closely with stakeholders to maintain efficiency.
- Record-Keeping: Maintain detailed and accurate records of all shipments, taxes, and communication for audit and review purposes.
- Regulatory Liaison: Coordinate with government agencies such as the Bureau of Investment, Department of Finance, and Bureau of Customs to ensure shipments comply with regulatory requirements.
Technical Competencies and Skills
Strong organizational and communication skills, Attention to detail and proficiency in data management, Familiarity with international shipping regulations and tax structures is an advantageEducation, Trainings and Licenses Required
