Job Summary:
The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial health of the organization. This includes managing financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls. The role ensures the companys financial strategies support business objectives while complying with local tax and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Planning & Analysis
- Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and budgets.
- Provide regular financial insights and variance analyses to management.
- Support strategic planning by evaluating business risks and opportunities.
2. Budgeting & Cost Control
- Lead the annual budget planning process.
- Monitor and manage company expenses and capital expenditures.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising operational efficiency.
3. Financial Reporting
- Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) and regulatory requirements.
- Present financial reports to senior management and external stakeholders, as required.
4. Compliance & Taxation
- Ensure full compliance with BIR, SEC, and other local government agencies.
- Oversee filing of tax returns (VAT, income tax, withholding tax, etc.).
- Manage audits and liaise with external auditors and government regulators.
5. Cash Flow & Treasury Management
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity position.
- Oversee bank transactions, funding arrangements, and investment decisions.
6. Internal Controls & Risk Management
- Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure process integrity.
- Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks.
7. Leadership & Team Development
- Manage and mentor the finance team, ensuring timely deliverables and continuous professional development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., operations, HR, procurement) to support business initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
- At least 5-8 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with 3+ years in a managerial capacity.
- Strong knowledge of Philippine taxation, BIR compliance, and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, NetSuite) and MS Excel.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Experience in working with multinational companies or shared services is a plus.
