Job Summary

As a member of the Data Analytics and Reporting team, you will support the development and delivery of dashboards and data models that provide actionable insights for various stakeholders, including team leaders, management, and clients. Your role will involve creating and optimizing Power BI and Smartsheet dashboards, integrating data from multiple systems, and ensuring accuracy and consistency. You will collaborate closely with different departments, such as project management and procurement, to ensure that data models are relevant and aligned with business needs. Continuous learning and adherence to data governance policies are key aspects of the role, with opportunities to develop advanced skills in data analytics and predictive modelling.

Duties and Responsibilities

KEY FUNCTIONS/DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Designing and Delivering Dashboards: Develop visually appealing and insightful dashboards in Power BI or Smartsheet that cater to different stakeholders' needs, including team leaders, top management, and clients. Ensure these dashboards effectively communicate data trends and key metrics.

2. Building Optimal Data Models: Create and optimize data models in Power BI or Smartsheet to support dashboard requirements. Integrate data seamlessly from Smartsheet and other systems, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.

3. Understanding Business Needs: Gain a deep understanding of construction business processes and requirements. Translate these needs into actionable dashboard data, metrics, and dimensions that align with organizational goals.

4. Collaborating Across Departments: Collaborate closely with various departments like project management, technical planning, cost planning, procurement, and quality assurance. Involve them in data model construction and analysis to ensure relevance and accuracy.

5. Create, Share Solutions and Collaboration: Create solutions, share best practices and insights with the broader analytics and business intelligence teams. Foster collaboration to drive continuous improvement and innovation in data-driven decision-making.

6. Continuous Learning: Engage in continuous self-learning activities to stay updated with the latest capabilities of tools like Smartsheet and Power BI. Explore advanced concepts in big data, data science, and predictive modeling to enhance skills and knowledge.

7. Passion for Data and Advanced Skills: Demonstrate a strong passion for leveraging data, big data analytics, and predictive modeling to drive business outcomes. Possess advanced skills in Excel and Knowledgeable in Power Bi and Smartsheet is a plus. 

8. Data Governance and Compliance: Adhere strictly to data governance, compliance, and risk policies. Ensure data integrity, security, and privacy are maintained at all times
