Job Summary

The Chief Technical Officer (CTO) is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and management of the company's technological and engineering strategies. The CTO leads innovation and drives technological advancements in energy generation, distribution, storage, and sustainability solutions. The role involves ensuring the technical viability of projects, maintaining regulatory compliance, and aligning technological strategies with the company’s business objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities

Technology and Project Management

  • Lead the design, development, and execution of major energy infrastructure projects, including renewable energy plants, smart grids, and energy storage solutions.
  • Manage the lifecycle of large-scale technical projects, including budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and cross-functional team coordination.
  • Evaluate project performance, ensuring successful delivery within scope, time, and budget while meeting the required technical specifications.

Innovation and Technological Advancement

  • Foster a culture of innovation by driving the adoption of new technologies and continuous improvement processes.
  • Lead the evaluation and integration of new energy technologies and solutions
  • Manage and collaborate with external partners, vendors, and research institutions to explore cutting-edge technologies and leverage industry expertise.

Regulatory Compliance and Industry Standards

  • Ensure that all technology solutions and energy operations comply with local regulations, including environmental, safety, and energy efficiency standards.
  • Monitor changes in industry regulations and work with relevant departments to ensure the company remains in full compliance with regulatory bodies.
  • Oversee environmental impact assessments and ensure adherence to sustainability targets and emission reduction goals.

Technical Competencies and Skills

Proven track record in energy generation technologies, managing large-scale energy projects, regulatory compliance, environmental standards in the energy industry, lead cross-functional teams, manage relationships with external partners, Strong understanding of energy market dynamics, Expertise in technology evaluation, project management skills, decision-making, leadership skills

Education, Trainings and Licenses Required

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Systems, Licensed Engineer, Master's Degree is preferred, Additional certifications or training in project management, Minimum 10-15 years of experience in the power and energy sector
