Job Summary

Project/Construction Manager (Area Head)

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Construction Management

·       Monitors all ongoing activities and sees to it that all construction activities are completed within the contract time frame.

·       Conducts weekly coordination meetings at site to address any problems encountered during the ongoing implementation of the project.

·       Ensure proper coordination with all concerned departments at all times to avoid impediments to the progress of work.

·       Anticipates all issues and problems of the projects handled to mitigate the delays in the execution of the works.

·       Maintains a lean group of engineers to minimize the cost of construction management under maximum supervision.

 

2. Quality and Cost Control

·       Manages all project engineers and contractors to work harmoniously as one team with one specific goal: to complete the project on time within acceptable standards of quality and cost.

·       Ensure that all ongoing works are properly done and checked by the engineers at site on a daily basis.

·       Checks and evaluates the completion and progress of the billings of contractors.

·       Check and evaluate change orders on plans, budgetary estimates, and quantity take-offs of OSM's

 

3. Construction Health and Safety

·       To maintain the security, safety, and cleanliness of the site

 

4. Security and Safety

·       Implement the security and safety procedures and policies of the project.

·       Ensure compliance with the company's, LGU's, and industry standard safety rules.

·       Ensure that unsafe conditions are corrected in a timely manner. 

5. Team Coaching

Enhance the competencies of the staff; To immediately adopt and learn the Filinvest Operating Systems and Standards


Technical Competencies and Skills

Proficient in MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Able to execute tactical plans for effective/efficient construction management of assigned projects. Able to report/highlight issues for timely resolution so as not to adversely impact on the delivery of required project performance parameters (in terms of time, cost, quality, and safety) Able to use construction management systems/tools (e.g., project monitoring and reporting applications similar to Primavera P6, Microsoft Project Planner, Smart sheet

Education, Trainings and Licenses Required

Graduate of BS Civil Engineering Must be a Licensed Civil Engineer With at least 15-years work related experience in construction Proficiency in use of construction project management tools Experience in Project Management and Project Scheduling is a must With COSH Certificate is a plus
