Job Summary
The L&D Assistant Manager supports the planning, development, and execution of learning and talent development initiatives for the IT Group. Working closely with the HR Business Partner, IT leadership, and functional teams, this role ensures that learning programs are aligned with business strategy, digital transformation goals, and workforce capability requirements. The position focuses on building technical, leadership, and professional competencies to support current and future IT needsDuties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Learning Strategy & Planning
- Support
the HR Business Partner in developing and executing the IT Group’s
learning and development strategy aligned with business and technology
priorities.
- Translate
workforce and capability needs into structured learning plans and
programs.
- Assist
in annual training needs analysis (TNA) for IT roles across the
organization.
Program Design & Delivery
- Design,
develop, and implement learning programs covering technical skills,
digital tools, leadership, and behavioral competencies.
- Coordinate
onboarding and role-based learning programs for IT employees.
- Facilitate
or co-facilitate learning sessions, workshops, and training programs
(in-person and virtual).
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner
with IT leaders, managers, and subject matter experts to identify skills
gaps and recommend appropriate learning interventions.
- Work
closely with vendors, training providers, and internal trainers to deliver
effective learning solutions.
- Act
as a key point of coordination between HR, IT leadership, and employees
for learning-related initiatives.
Learning Administration & Systems
- Manage
learning logistics, schedules, enrollments, and communications.
- Administer
Learning Management System (LMS) activities, including tracking,
reporting, and course management.
- Monitor
completion of mandatory, compliance, and role-critical training programs.
Measurement & Continuous Improvement
- Track
learning effectiveness using assessments, feedback, and performance
indicators.
- Prepare
learning reports, dashboards, and insights for HRBP and IT leadership.
- Continuously
improve learning programs based on data, feedback, and evolving IT needs.
Talent & Development Support
- Support
career development, succession planning, and capability-building
initiatives within the IT Group.
- Assist
in managing high-potential and leadership development programs for IT
talents.
- Promote
a culture of continuous learning and upskilling across the IT
organization.
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure
learning programs comply with company policies, audit requirements, and
internal controls.
- Support
documentation and reporting required for audits and management reviews.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s
degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Education, Information Technology,
or related field.
- At
least 5–7 years of experience in Learning & Development or HR,
with exposure to IT or technical environments.
- Experience
supporting business-aligned learning initiatives in a corporate setting.
Skills & Competencies

understanding of Learning & Development principles and practices
- Ability
to translate business and technical requirements into learning solutions
- Excellent
communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience
with LMS platforms and digital learning tools
- Strong
planning, coordination, and project management skills

mindset with ability to interpret learning data and metrics
- High
level of professionalism, discretion, and collaboration
Preferred Qualifications
- Background
in supporting IT, digital, or technology teams
- Experience with e-learning authoring tools and external learning platforms (e.g., Coursera, LinkedIn Learning)
- Certification in Learning & Development, HR, or Training (e.g., Train-the-Trainer, CPLP, etc.
- Background
in supporting IT, digital, or technology teams
- Strong
understanding of Learning & Development principles and practices
