Fidelity Partners Services, LLC. is currently accepting applications for qualified Educational Physical Therapists.

JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Evaluations & Assessments: Conduct formal screenings and assessments to determine if a student qualifies for PT as a related service. 
  • IEP Development: Write measurable goals, objectives, and present levels of performance. Participate in IEP and 504 plan meetings. 
  • Direct & Indirect Therapy: Provide direct one-on-one or group therapy to improve a student's strength, balance, coordination, and mobility. Provide indirect consultation by adjusting instructional settings or adapting equipment.
  • Assistive Equipment: Recommend, configure, and maintain adaptive devices, wheelchairs, and standing or seating positioning devices. 
  • Collaboration: Train teachers, paraprofessionals, and parents on how to implement therapeutic strategies, manage equipment, and ensure the physical safety of students. 
  • Documentation: Track data, maintain therapy records, and prepare progress reports. 

Qualifications

  • Education: A minimum of a Master's degree (or equivalent degree) in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Must hold an active, valid state physical therapy license (e.g., Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners license).
  • Experience: Typically requires at least 1 year of clinical experience in pediatric, neurological, or physical disabilities rehabilitation. 

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Mobility: Requires navigating multiple school buildings, playgrounds, and classrooms. 
  • Physical Exertion: Involves frequent stooping, kneeling, crawling, and physical assistance with lifting, positioning, and transferring students or equipment.
  • Schedule: Generally follows the standard Monday-Friday school calendar and academic hours, removing the need for traditional clinic nights or weekends. 

Mandatory Credentials

  • State PT License: You must hold an active license from your state's physical therapy board.
  • PT Degree: You need a Master's or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited school.
  • National Exam: You must pass the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE).

School-Specific Requirements

  • State Education Certification: Some states require a special certificate or registration through their Department of Education to work in public schools.
  • Background Clearances: You must pass a criminal background check, fingerprinting, and child abuse clearances.
  • CPR and First Aid: Most districts require current certification in BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR/AED
