  • Citizenship / Access Requirements: Must satisfy all DCSA facility, personnel-security, and access requirements applicable to the position.
  • Security Requirements: Secret eligibility based on the required Tier 3/Tier 3R investigation and continuous vetting, with required DCSA/DoD security training for unescorted access.
  • Type of Employment: Part-Time / Relief Contractor Position with W-2 employment through Fidelity Partners.
  • Estimated Total Compensation: $32.21 per hour.
  • Staffing: Back-Up Registered Nurse providing coverage as required for absences, leave, or continuity of operations.
  • Working Hours: As needed within the Nurse Station’s normal Monday-through-Friday operating hours of 8:00 AM–4:30 PM Eastern Time.
  • Work Arrangement: On-site as needed at the DCSA Boyers Mine Nurse Station. Routine telework is not authorized.
  • Period of Performance: September 30, 2026 through September 30, 2031, including option periods.

Summary of Services

The Back-Up Registered Nurse will provide qualified relief coverage for the full-time DCSA Facility Nurse Station Registered Nurse when needed. The position performs the same clinical, emergency-response, documentation, privacy, and employee-support functions during assigned coverage periods and must be equally qualified and cleared for performance at Boyers Mine.

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Must meet the same Pennsylvania licensure/certification requirements as the primary Registered Nurse.
  • Must be equally qualified and cleared to perform the full scope of Nurse Station services when providing relief coverage.
  • Must satisfy all DCSA personnel-security, background-investigation, continuous-vetting, unescorted-access, and mandatory training requirements.
  • Must be available to provide on-site coverage as required to maintain continuity during primary RN absences.
  • Must be able to maintain HIPAA-compliant records and protect sensitive Government and medical information.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assess, treat, counsel, and refer employees and contractors presenting with minor illnesses or injuries on a walk-in basis.
  • Respond to medical emergencies within the facility and provide appropriate first aid and CPR until ambulance or emergency-response personnel arrive.
  • Monitor blood pressure and blood glucose and assist with prescribed injections as required.
  • Create, store, maintain, and protect medical records in accordance with HIPAA and Government privacy and security requirements.
  • Maintain appropriate first-aid supplies, over-the-counter medications, emergency medications, and clinical equipment for Nurse Station operations.
  • Support lactation-room services and other employee health-support functions identified in the PWS.
  • Participate in emergency planning and preparedness activities as required.
  • Prepare monthly utilization reports describing Nurse Station use and types of services provided without including personally identifiable information.
  • Coordinate with the Contract Manager and Government representatives to maintain continuity of Nurse Station operations.
  • Complete required DCSA/DoD security, privacy, OPSEC, CUI, antiterrorism, and related mandatory training.
