- Estimate Pay: $30.00 to $33.75
Working Hours:
Work is typically scheduled from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday - with the option to work remotely up to 100% of the time. The working position is Telework. While the schedule may need to be flexible, it will not exceed 40 hours per week or 1100 hours total. The contractor may be occasionally called upon for after-hours as needed.
Summary:
The Software QA Analyst oversees advanced computer systems analysis and leads testing teams within the IT QA division. Responsibilities include managing daily operations, planning, budgeting, and analyzing user requirements and procedures to automate processes or enhance existing systems.
Mandatory Qualifications
- At least 7 years - Testing complex Web Applications.
- At least 7 years - Testing all phases of Software Development LIfe Cycle.
- At least 3 years - Database/SQL Language.
- At least 3 years - XML, JSON, API Testing
- At least 2 years - Automation Testing experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 2 years - Experience in API testing (SOAP and REST).
- At least 1 year - Test automation experience using open-source technologies and/or in-house frameworks
- At least 1 year Experience with test frameworks like Junit, TestNG.
- At least 1 year Experience with WAPT Pro, Jmeter, or other performance testing tools.
- At least 1 year Experience with Zephyr Scale.
- At least 1 year Experience with JIRA.
Duties/Responsibilities
This position will work with the project development teams to provide the following Software Testing Services:
- Analyze user requirements, design documents and other documentation to develop detailed test cases
- Create and execute automated functional and regression test cases, report and document all issues, test cases ran, test results, and testing summaries in detail
- Perform manual testing and data validation
- Perform advanced SQL queries to analyze and manipulate data
- Work with development team and customers to clearly understand the functionality under test to define and implement test case automation and clearly communicate to the team
- Execute performance and accessibility testing
- Review user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate applications or to improve existing systems.
- Collaborate with the project team for sprint/release work on tasks such as providing testing effort estimates, resolving defects or issues and providing status on work assignments or issues.
The QA group supports and facilitates the implementation of all apps/projects in the Texas Education Agency.
