SAP Basis Engineer (100%)

Main tasks:

• Administrate and manage the operation of SAP systems
• Propose and implement enhancements to improve system performance and capabilities
• Monitor system usage and performance, troubleshooting software and SAP Kernel issues as they arise
• Analyze the complexity and feasibility of new or modified environment requirements
• Install, configure, test, and implement SAP systems
• Investigate system outages and defective states, initiating and monitoring measures to resolve them
• Manage and operate the connection between SAP and z/OS DB2 database system
• Assist in the creation of authorization concepts, including role specifications
• Support system copies, release changes, patch installations, and system monitoring
• Provide in-depth expertise to support the S/4 HANA initiative

Your qualifications:

• Extensive experience in the administration of SAP systems
• Expertise in installing SAP Support Packages, SAP Security Notes, SAP Kernel updates, and related installations on AIX
• Proficient in handling SAP system copies on DB2 and client copies
• Skilled in managing day-to-day SAP Basis tasks such as transport management, opening OSS connections, requesting access keys, applying SAP and HANA licenses, and resolving "filesystem full" issues
• Experienced in the integration of SAP systems with Solution Manager
• Additional knowledge and experience with z/OS Mainframe, DB2 on z/OS, z/OS JCL, and z/OS datasets are significant advantages
