Role Overview

The Junior Graphic Designer at VaultGroup is responsible for creating visual designs and communications on the various platforms for the company. The role is also responsible for creating and pitching concepts related to the design of the company and execute once those concepts have been agreed on. The Junior Graphic Designer is also responsible for creating marketing material across all VaultGroup brands.

Key Responsibilities 

Designer: 

  • The Junior Graphic Designer is responsible for concept creation, pitching concepts and adjusting them where necessary. The concepts then need to be designed, presented for feedback and changes need to be made accordingly.
  • The Junior Graphic Designer is required to thoroughly read through and understand briefs provided, ask questions where there is ambiguity or a lack of clarity in order to get an understanding and carry out the designs required.
  • Ensure to estimate and manage timelines of multiple projects simultaneously and complete those projects within the timelines.
  • Be involved in creating the designs for user interfaces that are used across all VaultGroup products. This includes the actual design as well as the user experience. Once the UI has been implemented the Graphic Designer will be required to liaise with the developers to ensure that any corrections are made.
  • The Junior Graphic Designer is responsible for improving the current websites from a design and user experience perspective and ensure that this is continuously updated at all times.
  • The Junior Graphic Designer is responsible for creating new websites from a design as well as a user experience perspective.

Marketing:

  • Responsible for creating marketing material across all VaultGroup brands. This includes: VaultGroup, CellVault, PackVault, AutoVault, any new products and VG Media.
  • Required to communicate effectively regarding progress and any bottle necks that may occur related to creating marketing material for VaultGroup.
  • Marketing material includes but is not limited to: product brochures, company/brand overviews, social media content across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. This may include taking photos of various activities, power point presentations, user manuals, event posters, product flyers for specific events, proposals.
  • Creation, updating of internal documents, and collateral, such as: corporate stationery, business cards, health and safety posters, rental agreements, training Manuals and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Requirements: 

  • 2 - 3 years Graphic Design experience
  • A diploma or degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Fine Arts, or a related field is often preferred. Relevant courses include graphic design, web design, multimedia, digital arts, etc.
  • Ability to create visually appealing designs that align with brand guidelines.
  • Ability to come up with creative concepts and innovative designs.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a variety of design projects.
