We are representing a well-established and highly respected South East accounting firm with a substantial client base and a genuine commitment to modernising how it operates. This is a rare opportunity for an experienced public practice professional with strong systems capability, commercial awareness and a passion for operational improvement to step into a role with real influence and help shape the next phase of the firm's growth.

Working closely with the General Manager and Partners, you will take ownership of the firm's technology ecosystem across practice management, document management, workflow, reporting, AI and automation. You will lead integration, optimisation and continuous improvement across the practice, helping teams work smarter, improving visibility and consistency, and strengthening collaboration across both onshore and offshore functions.

This role will suit someone who understands how accounting firms operate behind the scenes and gets energy from improving the way work gets done. It is ideal for a capable practice professional who may feel ready to step beyond a traditional role and take on a broader challenge spanning systems, process, people and performance.

What You'll Be Doing

Taking full ownership of the firm's cloud-based app stack across all categories from practice management, document management, reporting, data capture, AI and more.

• Driving continual optimisation across systems, integrations and workflows to ensure every tool is working to its full capacity
• Developing and enhancing workpapers, templates, procedures and process documentation to drive consistency and best practice
• Identifying and implementing automation and AI opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability and data integrity
• Supporting staff onboarding, training and process adoption across onshore and offshore teams
• Maintaining data integrity across firm systems and improving reporting capabilities and visibility
• Attending webinars and new feature releases across the firm's app stack and implementing upgrades

What You'll Bring

Strong public practice accounting experience, paired with a deep understanding of how modern firms operate and how technology can improve performance, workflow and team effectiveness.

• Advanced capability across the cloud accounting ecosystem, including Xero and XPM at a minimum, with exposure to practice management, document management, client onboarding, reporting, workflow and automation tools
• CA or CPA qualified (or equivalent)
• Experience reviewing and improving workpaper systems and internal firm workflows
• A genuine interest in AI, automation and emerging technology within the accounting context
• Experience working with business services and multi-entity client groups
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to bridge accounting, systems and people
• Experience working with offshore teams, including coordinating workflow, supporting process adoption and maintaining quality and consistency across remote delivery environments
