Sales Account Manager
Job Description:
Our client is a leading provider of innovative packaging solutions to the Print and FMCG industries across ANZ. They are committed to delivering high-quality products and exceptional service to their clients across various industries. They are seeking a motivated and experienced Sales Account Manager to join their dynamic team and contribute to their continued success.
The Sales Account Manager will be responsible for the supporting role of managing a blue-chip account along with a portfolio of existing SME clients. The role involves developing and maintaining strong client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and driving sales growth. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of packaging solutions, print process, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in sales.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, addressing their needs and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Conduct meetings and reviews with clients to understand their requirements and provide tailored solutions
Product and Market Knowledge:
- Stay updated on industry trends, packaging innovations, and competitive landscape
- Provide clients with expert advice on packaging solutions that align with their needs and objectives
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and present customized packaging solutions
Order Management and Coordination:
- Oversee the complete order process from initial inquiry to delivery, ensuring accuracy and timely fulfillment
- Work closely with production, technical and logistics teams to meet clients agreed lead times
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to orders and shipments promptly
- Accurately manage all administration duties in line with management expectations and company policies
Reporting and Analysis:
- Track sales performance and generate reports (where required) on key metrics and account activities
- Provide regular updates and insights to senior management regarding account status
Customer Service:
- Address client concerns and issues with a solutions-oriented approach
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and seek feedback to improve service delivery
- Foster long-term relationships through exceptional service and support
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales, preferably within the packaging industry or a related sector
- Strong understanding of packaging products and print processes
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to build and maintain client relationships effectively
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Microsoft Office Suite, Excel and Word
- Travel to client sites as required (within Melbourne metro area)
