Role Overview

The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing the IT department's operations, ensuring efficient functioning of technology systems and infrastructure. This role involves strategic planning, project management, and team leadership to align IT initiatives with organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning and Management:

    • Develop and implement IT strategies, policies, and procedures.
    • Plan and manage IT budgets.
    • Identify and evaluate emerging technologies.
  • Team Leadership:

    • Lead, mentor, and manage the IT team.
    • Foster a collaborative work environment.
    • Oversee team development and skill enhancement.
  • Infrastructure Management:

    • Oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT infrastructure.
    • Ensure reliability, security, and performance of IT systems.
    • Manage network and data security.
  • Project Management:

    • Lead IT projects from conception through implementation.
    • Coordinate with other departments to understand their technology needs.
    • Manage relationships with vendors and service providers.
  • Support and Troubleshooting:

    • Oversee the IT helpdesk and support functions.
    • Implement and manage systems for tracking and resolving IT issues.
    • Ensure continuity of operations through backup and disaster recovery planning.
  • Compliance and Security:

    • Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and organizational IT policies.
    • Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures.
    • Conduct regular audits and assessments.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in IT management with a proven track record of managing IT projects and teams.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in IT infrastructure management, network security, systems administration, and project management tools.
  • Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.

Working Conditions
