Backend Engineer (Java, PHP, Node.js)

On behalf of our client in the technology and logistics platform industry, we are looking for Backend Engineer to provide hands-on technical and operational support for mission-critical applications.

This role focuses on ensuring the stability, performance, and reliability of mobile and backend systems used by users and drivers. Reporting to the local technical team lead, you will work closely with local engineering and operations teams, as well as global engineering teams, to resolve issues, support rollouts, and continuously improve system operations while maintaining the highest standards of data privacy and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end application support for mobile and backend systems.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues related to applications and services.
• Collaborate closely with local and global engineering teams to support daily operations.
• Customize and optimize technical tools to meet local data compliance requirements.
• Provide hands-on technical support during system rollouts and post-launch operations.
• Monitor systems, manage alerts, and perform debugging to ensure operational stability.
• Handle sensitive data with the highest level of integrity and accountability.
• Participate in ongoing compliance and data privacy initiatives

Responsibilities

• 4+ years of experience in software engineering, application support, or technical operations or logistics platforms
• Hands-on experience with one or more backend programming languages:
  Java, PHP, Node.js, or Go.
• Experience with middleware technologies such as Redis, Elasticsearch, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar.
• Solid understanding of backend microservices architectures and APIs.
• Experience working with MySQL.
• Proven experience providing operational support, especially during launch or high-traffic periods.
• Strong sense of responsibility, integrity, and accountability, particularly when handling sensitive data.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
