We are looking for an Assistant Tax Manager on behalf of a client, a leading global tire manufacturer known for its innovation and high-performance products. With a strong presence in the automotive industry, the company operates across multiple markets, requiring robust tax compliance and strategic tax planning. This role is based in Singapore and requires 100% onsite work at their office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage tax compliance for local and overseas entities, coordinating with external tax agents for direct and indirect tax filings.
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing transfer pricing documentation and Country-by-Country Reporting (CbCR) in line with OECD guidelines and local tax regulations.
  • Prepare, review, and file indirect tax reports for multiple jurisdictions.
  • Calculate and review current and deferred tax provisions for financial reporting.
  • Liaise with tax authorities on assessments, objections, audits, and investigations.
  • Support financial statutory audits and assist in preparing audited financial statements.
  • Review contracts and agreements to assess potential tax implications.
  • Assist in tax-related projects and initiatives.
  • Ensure overall tax compliance and address ad-hoc duties as required.

Requirements: 

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Accredited Tax Practitioner (Income Tax) certification is a plus.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of relevant tax experience, with at least 3 years in transfer pricing. *Strong transfer pricing knowledge is required.
  • Must have commercial experience and hands-on tax expertise.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, tax regulations, and transfer pricing principles.
  • Proficiency in Oracle, HFM, and OA systems.
  • Advanced MS Excel and Word skills, with strong presentation abilities.
  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin, to communicate with Mandarin speaking colleagues.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Must be willing to work 100% onsite in Singapore.
