Job Overview:
Seeking a seasoned System Engineer to support advanced modernization efforts within complex operational environments. This role is centered on assessing emerging technologies, supporting integration initiatives, and partnering with cross-functional teams to enhance mission effectiveness. This position is fully on-site in Fort Belvoir, VA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and assess new and emerging technologies for potential operational use
• Identify integration challenges and analyze technical risks across systems
• Support the planning and execution of technology demonstrations and experimental initiatives
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and leadership briefings
• Collaborate with engineering teams, operational stakeholders, and acquisition personnel
• Assist with transitioning validated technologies into scalable implementation pathways

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field
• 10+ years of experience for senior-level candidates or 15+ years for subject matter experts
• Active Top Secret security clearance
• Experience supporting defense systems or advanced technology development programs
• Strong knowledge of systems design, integration processes, and risk analysis methodologies

Preferred Qualifications:

• DAWIA Engineering certification or equivalent credential
• Experience with major acquisition programs (ACAT), urgent operational needs, or adaptive acquisition models
• Background working in systems engineering or complex integration environments
