We are currently seeking a Registered Phlebology Sonographer to support a well-established surgical practice in Pittsfield, MA. This position focuses on conducting venous ultrasound imaging, specifically related to phlebology, and requires a high level of independence and technical skill. Candidates must be capable of operating portable ultrasound equipment, navigating imaging software systems, and collaborating effectively with clinical staff.
You will be expected to deliver high-quality imaging services, prepare sterile environments for procedures, and occasionally take on duties assigned by practice leadership. A strong ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment is crucial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic venous ultrasound exams with a focus on phlebology
  • Use portable ultrasound equipment to obtain accurate images
  • Apply sterile techniques and prepare sterile trays
  • Upload and manage imaging via PACS and hospital information systems
  • Carry out assignments from clinical leadership with minimal supervision
  • Assist with lifting and positioning patients as needed

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years preferred in phlebology sonography
  • Education: Completion of an accredited Phlebology Sonography Program
  • Certification:
    • Registered Phlebology Sonographer (RPhS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) - Required
    • CPR Certification - Required
    • Additional diagnostic imaging certifications - Preferred
