About the job Procurement Officer
- Planning and Strategizing
- Ensure that there are no supply disruptions by developing multiple supply options and contingency plans including optimum inventory management
- Assess total costs of company purchases, develop strategies to reduce costs in procurement and supplier management
- Procurement Handling
- Support users with post implementation procedural or system issues
- Manage on time delivery of material and services to internal customers
- Remain up to date with market trends through relationships with suppliers and market
- Route, copy and circulate quotes, bids and proposal for evaluation
- Make POs for Electrical, Mechanical, IT, Admin, Safety user requirements.
- Vendor Management
- Vendor Relationship Management on basis of frequency of POs, rejection and payment terms.
- Effective selection and management of suppliers to support lean manufacturing processes
- Nurture relationships with suppliers to negotiate the best prices for company
- Correspondence with Cross Functionaries
- Liaise with key company employees to determine their product and service needs
- Coordinate with finance, Store, User and vendors for payment, rejections, inventory controls
- Day to Day follow up with internal customers for satisfaction
- Compliance
- Review marketing material and websites to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Monitor shipments to ensure the compliance of regulations
- Ensure all procurement documents and other records relating to procurement procedures are collected and maintained for audit trails
