Overview:
A well-established, multi-state law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to handle eviction matters on behalf of its clients. The firm leverages technology to streamline legal processes and maintain strong partnerships with financial institutions, mortgage servicers, investors, and other commercial clients.
This is a fully remote position, but candidates must be licensed in California and reside in one of the states listed above. Additional bar licenses are a plus but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage eviction caseload and represent clients in court hearings.
- Provide legal counsel, conduct legal research, and draft legal documents, including complaints, motions, oppositions, and discovery requests/responses.
- Stay up to date on eviction law changes and trends across the U.S. and provide client education on these developments.
- Work efficiently within the firm's proprietary case management system to meet deadlines and client expectations.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active California Bar license in good standing.
- At least one year of legal experience (eviction, foreclosure, litigation, or title experience preferred but not required).
- Strong legal research, advocacy, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary range: $70,000 - $105,000 (commensurate with experience).
