Position Overview:
FACCES is looking for a passionate and motivated Communications Director to join our team! This role is ideal for someone with an entry-level to mid-level background in communications, looking to make a meaningful impact in the community. You will play a crucial role in promoting FACCES across all media platforms, engaging with families, youth, community members, government officials, funding partners, and businesses throughout Ohio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy to raise awareness of FACCESs mission and resources.
- Create engaging content for various platforms, including social media, newsletters, press releases, and promotional materials.
- Build and maintain relationships with local and statewide media outlets to secure positive coverage of FACCES initiatives.
- Actively engage with diverse stakeholders, organizing events and outreach efforts to promote FACCES's services.
- Manage FACCESs social media presence, curating content that encourages community interaction and support.
- Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all platforms.
- Support grant writing and fundraising efforts with effective communication materials.
- Monitor and evaluate communication strategies to maximize reach and engagement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing strategies.
- Experience in media relations or community engagement is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Passion for FACCESs mission and a commitment to supporting families and youth.
Compensation:
We offer a competitive wage of $19 to $21 per hour, depending on experience, along with benefits that include health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional development.
