About the role and working environment

We are looking for a full-time Cert III or Diploma (must be completed, not working towards) who doesn't mind working to a rotating roster at one of Melbourne's finest community-managed not-for-profit early years learning services.

This centre is a warm and welcoming environment, nestled among a leafy street, where children can learn and grow. The dedicated team of educators is passionate about their work - you will notice this when you walk inside.

The centre deeply cares for the environment in every action it takes, and it has a strong sustainability program that pervades everything it does. This is also reflected in its spacious outdoor area and flourishing vegetable and garden beds, which are within easy reach of the children to enhance their interaction and learning with nature.

The philosophy guiding their practices is the belief that all children are unique, competent, and capable citizens with rights, and by supporting them to question, investigate, and engage in purposeful play, they can help them become successful, confident, and creative learners.

About you

  • Completed ACECQA-approved Cert III or Diploma in Children Services (not accepting Grad Dips)
  • Warm and welcoming personality with a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of children.
  • Experience in long daycare settings preferred (1 year)
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
  • Ability to work on a rotating roster

At Early Years Talent, we connect passionate early childhood educators, teachers and childcare staff with opportunities across Australia.

We do the hard work on your behalf, including negotiating better salaries!
