We seek an experienced Diploma-qualified Early Childhood Educator to join a not-for-profit, community-based sessional kindergarten located in the heart of Healesville.

About the role:
Surrounded by parklands, a creek, bike tracks and community facilities, this is a unique opportunity to work in a setting that actively connects children to their local environment through regular excursions and community engagement. Local schools, supermarkets and shops are all within walking distance.
This is a full-time role across two programs, supporting a play-based approach that is nurturing, engaging and responsive to children's interests and development.
You will work across two mixed-age (3- and 4-year-old) groups, supporting experienced teaching teams to deliver a program aligned with the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework.
One program is well-established with a highly experienced team, while the other offers the opportunity to contribute to a newer team environment. You will support children's learning through observation and documentation, contribute ideas within a collaborative team, and help create a calm, engaging environment where children feel confident to explore and participate.
About you:
You are a Diploma-qualified educator who brings reliability, professionalism and confidence in your communication. You are comfortable using technology to document children's learning and contribute to programming, and you take pride in supporting a calm, engaging learning environment. You are genuinely passionate about early childhood education, work collaboratively as part of a team, and are proactive in contributing ideas and supporting positive outcomes for children.
Requirements:
- Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (ACECQA approved)
- Minimum two years of experience as an Educator, ideally within a sessional kindergarten setting
- Current Working with Children Check
- First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Child protection / mandatory reporting training
- Sound understanding of the NQF, VEYLDF and Child Safe Standards
