About the Role

Were currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join our friendly team in Cyprus. Were looking for a detail-oriented individual to take charge of our accounting processes, ensure accuracy and assist in working in a compliant manner with the latest regulations. If you enjoy working with numbers, collaborating across teams, and actively contributing to improving financial processes in a dynamic environment, this could be the perfect fit for you.

Reporting line: Chief Financial Officer

Worksite: Hybrid

Responsibilities:

• Keeping accounting records in Microsoft Dynamics

• Making reconciliation of data between various IT systems

• Processing payroll, ensuring compliance with tax and labor regulations

• Preparing and submitting VAT returns accurately and on time

• Managing corporation tax calculations, filings, and payments

• Maintaining summary tables and various supporting calculations

• Closing the accounts, preparing financial statements

• Collecting supporting documents and archiving them properly

• Supporting the annual audit process

• Participating in automation and other projects as may be required

• Communications with auditors, tax advisors, and other service providers

Qualifications:

• Master or Bachelor degree in accounting/finance/economics is a must

• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting positions

• Working experience in the financial services industry (bank, brokerage) is an advantage

• Good knowledge of IFRS, ACCA (or equivalent) is an advantage

• Experienced and knowledgeable of accounting principles, financial reporting, financial management and taxation in EU, and particularly, in Cyprus

• Experience in dealing with external auditors

• Fluent English

• Good IT skills (Google products, Excel)
