Position: Jefe de Contabilidad

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Jefe de Contabilidad to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial operations within the organization. This is a full-time position, based in Barquisimeto, Lara, Venezuela.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations

- Manage all aspects of the accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting

- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports to provide accurate and timely information to management

- Monitor cash flow and oversee budgeting and forecasting processes

- Ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

- Oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns and other government compliance requirements

- Manage and develop a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, training, and support as needed

- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and efficient financial processes and reporting

- Identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.

- Strong knowledge of local accounting laws and regulations

- Experience with financial reporting and analysis

- Excellent leadership and communication skills

- Advanced proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel

- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
