Senior Bookkeeper – UK VAT & Accounts

Full Time | Remote

We are a growing bookkeeping and accounts firm looking for an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join our team on a full time remote basis.

This is a senior role suited to somebody with strong UK bookkeeping and VAT experience who is confident managing a substantial portfolio of VAT returns, reviewing work prepared by other team members, and supporting the ongoing growth of the team.

The role will include:

Managing and preparing UK VAT returns
Reviewing and checking VAT returns prepared by junior team members
High level bookkeeping work for UK based clients
Supporting and guiding other members of the bookkeeping team
Helping improve internal systems and processes as the business grows

We are looking for somebody who:

Has substantial experience with UK VAT and UK bookkeeping
Ideally has experience both in practice and industry
Has qualifications equivalent to AAT or similar
Is highly organised and detail focused
Is confident reviewing the work of others
Has experience with software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, etc.

Candidates do not need to be UK based but must have strong practical experience with UK VAT and bookkeeping.
