Part-Time Senior-Level USA Tax Accountant Trainer
We are seeking an experienced Senior-Level USA Tax Accountant to join our team in a training and advisory capacity. This part-time role is ideal for a highly knowledgeable tax professional looking to mentor and train an internal accounting team on the intricacies of USA tax laws and compliance. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, communication, and technical skills, and must have a deep understanding of federal and state tax regulations affecting corporations, S-corps, C-corps, partnerships, fiduciaries, and high-net-worth individuals.
Key Responsibilities:

Train and mentor a team of accountants and junior tax staff on:

Preparation of U.S. tax returns (individual, corporate, partnership, fiduciary)

Quarterly and annual tax planning and estimate processes

Payroll and sales tax return preparation and filing
-
Financial statement preparation and review
-

Provide guidance on handling IRS and state/local government correspondence

Advise on best practices for bookkeeping, payroll tax management, and entity structuring

Assist in reviewing complex tax filings and ensuring compliance with current U.S. tax codes

Support process improvement initiatives and recommend tax planning strategies

Help build and maintain internal training documentation and resources
Job Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

CPA certification preferred (or CPA-eligible and able to sit for exams)

Minimum of 5 years of recent experience in U.S. tax accounting

Extensive experience in public accounting and working with:

Corporations (C-corps & S-corps)

Partnerships
-
High-net-worth individuals

Payroll and sales tax filings
-

Strong knowledge of U.S. tax laws and IRS regulations

Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements and tax filings

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to multitask, manage multiple priorities, and work independently
Experienced with QuickBooks

Previous training or mentoring experience highly preferred
Schedule & Compensation:
- Flexible part-time schedule (10 - 20 hours per week, based on team needs)
