Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced QuickBooks Bookkeeper to manage the financial transactions of our real estate business. The ideal candidate will handle bookkeeping duties, including accounts payable/receivable, financial reporting, and reconciliation, ensuring the accuracy of financial data. A strong understanding of real estate transactions, property management, and related financial practices is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record and manage daily financial transactions using QuickBooks.
  • Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Track and manage real estate income and expenses, including property transactions, rental income, and mortgage payments.
  • Prepare and maintain financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Assist in preparing tax documents and liaise with tax professionals.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions.
  • Monitor financial discrepancies and suggest corrective actions.
  • Support financial audits as required.
  • Collaborate with property managers and real estate agents to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Stay updated on real estate accounting practices and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably in the real estate industry.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel.
  • Strong understanding of real estate accounting, including property transactions and management.
  • Knowledge of tax regulations related to real estate.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.

Preferred:

  • Experience with real estate management software.
  • Basic knowledge of real estate contracts and transactions.
