Payroll Data Analyst
We are seeking a Payroll Data Analyst with strong expertise in Excel and Power BI to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing payroll-related data to uncover trends, identify discrepancies, and generate insights that support business decision-making. Your work will ensure data accuracy, process optimization, and help maintain compliance with payroll policies.
Key Responsibilities:

Collect, validate, and clean payroll and HR-related data from multiple sources.

Use advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, formulas, VLOOKUP, and macros) to analyze and interpret payroll metrics.

Build and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI to visualize trends, headcount, overtime, compensation, and other payroll KPIs.

Identify data anomalies or compliance issues and provide actionable recommendations.

Partner with HR, Finance, and Payroll teams to understand data needs and ensure alignment with business objectives.

Monitor payroll processing cycles and performance indicators, delivering insights for improvement.

Maintain and update Power BI data models for efficiency and performance.

Stay up to date with best practices in payroll analytics and data visualization.
Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.

Advanced proficiency in Excel and strong working knowledge of Power BI.

Demonstrated experience working with payroll, HRIS, or financial data (e.g., ADP, Workday, SAP, etc. experience is a plus).

Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.

Ability to communicate complex data insights in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Self-motivated and capable of working independently during non-standard business hours (3 PM 11 PM shift).
