Design Engineer (Low Voltage Switchgear & Motor Control Assemblies)
We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and sketching electrical circuits based on client requirements. You will translate client briefs into conceptual line diagrams, which will be passed on to our EPLAN engineering team for detailed design and final production.
This position is ideal for a technically adept individual who excels in circuit design and visual communication, with a keen eye for precision and client-centered solutions.
Key Responsibilities:

Design and sketch electrical circuits based on client specifications using line diagrams.

Work closely with clients and internal teams to understand design needs and technical requirements.

Prepare clear design sketches to hand over to EPLAN engineers for detailed drafting.

Participate in design reviews, ensuring circuit designs are Red Lined (reviewed and corrected) before client approval.

Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure designs align with manufacturability, safety standards, and industry regulations.

Maintain accurate documentation of all design iterations and updates.
Key Requirements:

Proven experience in electrical circuit design, especially in Low Voltage Switchgear and Motor Control Assemblies.

Proficiency in sketching line diagrams to communicate technical ideas effectively.

Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems across sectors like water treatment, agriculture, construction, and pharmaceuticals.

Familiarity with design handover processes to CAD/EPLAN teams (EPLAN knowledge is a plus but not mandatory).

Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.

Good communication skills to liaise with clients and internal stakeholders.

Adaptability to a dynamic production environment, ensuring designs meet client and manufacturing expectations.
Desirable:

Experience with DFM (Design for Manufacture) principles.

Knowledge of EPLAN or similar CAD software.

Previous experience working with OEM or high-volume industrial products.
