Commercial Underwriter (Commercial Real Estate)

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Underwriter with a strong background in commercial real estate, particularly in apartment buildings or nursing homes/assisted living facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating and assessing loan applications, analyzing financial data, and determining risk levels for properties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and underwrite commercial real estate loans with a focus on apartment buildings and nursing homes/assisted living properties.
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including assessing property valuations, income statements, and borrower financials.
• Evaluate market trends, property conditions, and borrower creditworthiness to determine risk levels and loan terms.
• Prepare detailed underwriting reports and recommendations for loan approval or denial.
• Collaborate with loan officers, brokers, and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth and efficient loan process.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of commercial underwriting experience in real estate.
• Specific experience with apartment buildings and/or nursing homes/assisted living properties.
• Strong financial analysis and risk assessment skills.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and underwriting software.
• Excellent communication and decision-making abilities.
• Knowledge of industry regulations and lending practices
