Remote Paralegal / Legal Assistant
Position Overview:
A US-based attorney specializing in corporate/business law, litigation, contracts and agreements, and real estate is seeking a skilled Paralegal / Legal Assistant to support his growing workload. This is a remote, part-time position with the potential to transition to full-time based on performance and workload.
Work Hours:
- 4:00 PM 12:00 AM (US Hours).
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with drafting, reviewing, and editing legal documents, including contracts, agreements, pleadings, and other legal correspondence.
- Conduct legal research and prepare case summaries or reports as required.
- Manage and organize case files, ensuring all documentation is complete and up-to-date.
- Monitor deadlines and assist in calendaring court dates, filings, and client meetings.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties in a professional and timely manner.
- Support with administrative tasks, including document management and email correspondence.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 4 years of experience working as a paralegal or legal assistant, preferably with exposure to corporate/business law, litigation, contracts, and real estate.
- Excellent understanding of legal procedures, terminology, and documentation.
- Proficient in legal research tools and software (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis) and general office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a remote work setting.
Requirements:
- Must have a reliable laptop and high-speed internet connection.
- Flexibility to work US hours (4:00 PM 12:00 AM).
- Self-motivated, dependable, and capable of working independently.
