Senior Bookkeeper (QuickBooks)
Position will start part time and then move into a full time role.

Position Overview
We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Senior Bookkeeper with advanced proficiency in QuickBooks to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records for a variety of clients and will work closely with accountants and partners to ensure the smooth delivery of our accounting services.
Key Responsibilities

Perform full-cycle bookkeeping using QuickBooks Online and Desktop

Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process

Reconcile bank and credit card statements across multiple clients

Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions

Prepare and maintain general ledgers and trial balances

Generate financial statements and customized reports

Assist in the preparation of year-end financial packages for CPAs

Support tax preparation with accurate records and documentation

Liaise directly with clients for document collection, queries, and clarifications

Provide guidance to junior staff or bookkeepers when required

Maintain organized documentation for audits and compliance

Stay updated on accounting and QuickBooks best practices
Qualifications & Experience

Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably within a public accounting firm

Proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop and Online) is essential

Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP)

Experience with payroll, sales tax filings, and multi-client environments is a plus

High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities

Ability to work independently and manage multiple client accounts simultaneously

Experience with Microsoft Excel and other accounting platforms (e.g., Xero or Sage) is advantageous
Education & Certification

Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

QuickBooks Certification preferred

Bookkeeping or Accounting designation (e.g., ICB, SAIPA, AAT) is a plus
