QuickBooks Bookkeeper (Part-Time/Full-Time)

Position Overview:
We are a dynamic CPA firm seeking a skilled and detail-oriented QuickBooks Bookkeeper to join our team. The role begins with an estimated 15-20 hours per week, with the potential to transition into a full-time position based on performance and business needs. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with QuickBooks and a background in bookkeeping or accounting, preferably within a CPA firm or similar environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Record Management:

    • Record and categorize financial transactions using QuickBooks Online and/or Desktop.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts.
  • Bank and Credit Card Reconciliations:

    • Reconcile bank and credit card statements monthly to ensure accuracy.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable:

    • Process invoices, manage payments, and issue statements as needed.
    • Track and follow up on outstanding invoices to ensure timely payments.
  • Payroll Support:

    • Assist with payroll processing and reporting, as required.
  • Financial Reporting:

    • Generate and review financial statements and reports for accuracy.
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for CPA review.
  • Tax Preparation Support:

    • Provide support during tax season, including organizing financial data and reconciling accounts.
  • Client Interaction:

    • Communicate with clients to gather necessary financial information.
    • Address client inquiries professionally and efficiently.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably in a CPA firm or similar setting.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Desktop.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
