Quotations Engineer
We are seeking a Quotations Engineer to manage incoming enquiries, prepare detailed tenders and quotations, and ensure precise documentation and costing using our ERP system. The ideal candidate will have experience in quantity surveying, tendering, and quotations within an engineering or manufacturing environment, particularly in the electrical or switchgear industry.
You will be responsible for managing Requests for Quotations (RFQs), coordinating with internal teams, and handling all associated paperwork, datasheets, and pricing documentation. Once the tender is secured, you will hand over the project to the Design Engineering team for circuit sketching and production.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage and respond to customer enquiries, RFQs, and tender submissions for Low Voltage Switchgear and Motor Control Assemblies.

Prepare accurate and competitive quotations, ensuring all technical specifications, datasheets, and client requirements are addressed.

Utilize the companys ERP system for pricing, quotation preparation, and documentation control.

Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Engineering, and Production) to ensure feasibility and accuracy of quotes.

Handle administrative and technical documentation required for tender submissions.

Interface with the ETenders portal to submit bids and manage tender documentation (leads will be provided).

Coordinate with clients to clarify project requirements and ensure timely and precise quotations.

After successful quotation, prepare and hand over project details to the Design Engineering team for circuit design and execution.

Maintain up-to-date records of enquiries, quotations, and project statuses.
Key Requirements:

Proven experience in preparing quotations, tenders, and RFQs within the engineering, electrical, or construction sectors.

Background in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, switchgear, and motor control assemblies is highly advantageous.

Experience with ERP systems for quotation and project documentation (training on the specific system provided).

Familiarity with the ETenders portal and tendering processes.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in managing complex documentation.

Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and clients.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Desirable:

Prior experience working with OEM or high-volume industrial manufacturing.

Knowledge of DFM (Design for Manufacture) principles.

Technical background in electrical engineering or a related field.
