Job Title: Team Lead – US Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Medical Billing
Location: United States (Remote)
Team: Offshore billing team (South Africa-based)

Overview
We're looking for an experienced SNF Medical Billing Team Lead based in the United States to oversee and guide a high-performing offshore billing team. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who deeply understands the complexity of Skilled Nursing Facility billing and can confidently manage both operations and people.

SNF billing is highly specialized and detail-intensive. This role requires someone who has worked specifically within the SNF space and understands its nuances, workflows, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and mentor an offshore medical billing team
• Oversee end-to-end SNF billing processes, including claims submission, payment posting, and AR follow-ups
• Act as the subject matter expert on SNF billing, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Troubleshoot complex billing issues and resolve escalations
• Ensure adherence to US payer requirements, Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance guidelines
• Implement best practices, process improvements, and quality controls
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimize billing performance and reporting
• Monitor KPIs, productivity, and team performance

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States
• Proven experience in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) billing (non-negotiable)
• Strong understanding of US medical billing regulations, especially within SNF
• Experience leading or mentoring a team (preferred)
• Deep knowledge of claims, denials, reimbursements, and AR management
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable working with remote/offshore teams
• Experience with billing systems and EHR platforms

This is not a general medical billing role. SNF billing is significantly more complex than other billing environments, and we need someone who has operated at that level.
