Sales Consultant – Construction & Hotel Renovation
Location: Remote
Employment Type: Part Time
Industry: Construction / Hotel Renovations
Working Hours: US Business Hours (3pm to 11pm SA hours)
Position Overview
We are looking for a driven and results-focused Sales Consultant to join a growing construction company specialising in renovation and improvement projects for hotels and hospitality properties.
The successful candidate will be responsible for proactively identifying hotel opportunities, building relationships with key decision-makers, and generating new renovation projects through consistent outbound sales and cold calling.
This is a highly proactive sales role suited to someone who is confident on the phone, comfortable speaking with senior decision-makers, and motivated by targets and winning new business. If you enjoy turning a cold call into a genuine business opportunity, this could be a great fit!
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct a high volume of daily outbound cold calls to hotels and hospitality businesses.
- Identify hotels that may require renovations, upgrades, repairs, refurbishments, or improvement projects.
- Research hotels and identify relevant decision-makers, including General Managers, Property Managers, Directors of Operations, and Facilities Managers.
- Introduce the company's construction and renovation services in a professional and compelling manner.
- Build and maintain relationships with hotel decision-makers and key contacts.
- Qualify leads by understanding the hotel's current and upcoming renovation requirements.
- Generate qualified leads and schedule appointments or consultations for the construction team.
- Follow up consistently with prospects through phone calls, email, and other communication channels.
- Maintain accurate records of calls, leads, conversations, follow-ups, and opportunities within the CRM.
- Develop a strong pipeline of potential hotel renovation projects.
- Meet or exceed agreed daily, weekly, and monthly activity and sales targets.
- Stay informed about the hospitality and construction markets to identify potential opportunities.
- Work closely with the internal construction and estimating teams to ensure qualified opportunities are properly handed over.
Requirements
- Proven experience in B2B sales, business development, telemarketing, or lead generation.
- Strong cold-calling experience, preferably within construction, property, hospitality, facilities management, or a related industry.
- A confident and professional telephone manner.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable speaking with business owners, General Managers, and senior-level decision-makers.
- Highly persistent and comfortable handling rejection — because unfortunately, "no thanks" is going to make an appearance or two!
- Strong follow-up and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a high-volume outbound sales pipeline.
- Target-driven with a strong focus on achieving measurable results.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Comfortable using CRM systems and sales technology.
- Reliable internet connection and a professional home-working environment.
