Component Support Specialist

Location: Horizon Business Park, Dublin Airport
Contract: 12-month contract with the opportunity to become permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm

Excel Aviation is recruiting a Component Support Specialist on behalf of our client, an aircraft component trading business.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-oriented professional to join a growing aviation business and support the development and day-to-day operation of its aircraft component warehouse.

The successful candidate will support warehouse operations, inventory management and logistics activities, ensuring that aircraft components are received, inspected, stored, recorded and dispatched accurately. The role offers valuable exposure to the aircraft component trading and leasing sectors, together with an excellent employee benefits package.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory and Logistics

• Support daily inventory control and logistics activities, including goods receiving, component inspection, storage allocation, order preparation and dispatch.
• Receive and process incoming aircraft components and materials.
• Pick, pack and prepare aircraft components for customer orders.
• Support sales order dispatch and shipping activities.
• Ensure inventory movements are accurately recorded within the warehouse management system.
• Use handheld scanners, barcode technology and other IT equipment to maintain accurate stock records.
• Help optimise warehouse storage locations and inventory processes.
• Support the VP of Operations in ensuring the smooth execution of daily warehouse and customer support activities.

Documentation, Quality and Compliance

• Review aircraft component paperwork, certification documents and shipping records for accuracy.
• Ensure inventory and warehouse records are complete and up to date.
• Participate in regular stock audits and training activities in line with the company's Quality Manual.
• Follow all quality, safety, security and operational procedures.
• Assist in maintaining appropriate controls across warehouse and inventory activities.

Warehouse Operations and Safety

• Safely operate authorised material-handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet trucks.
• Maintain a clean, organised and hazard-free warehouse.
• Follow all applicable health and safety procedures.
• Handle aircraft components carefully and in accordance with company requirements.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support efficient daily operations.

Skills and Experience

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience within a warehouse, logistics, inventory or supply chain environment.
• Strong organisational and planning abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook and Excel.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a physically active warehouse environment.
• Proactive, dependable and flexible approach to work.

Desirable Requirements

• Previous experience within aviation, aerospace or aircraft component logistics.
• Experience using a warehouse management or inventory control system.
• Familiarity with handheld scanners and barcode technology.
• Forklift experience or a valid forklift licence.
• Manual handling experience or certification.
